Lake Windermere
Windermere is in Cumbria’s Lake District National Park. It’s surrounded by mountain peaks and villages. At 10.5 miles long, one mile wide and 220 feet deep, is the largest natural lake in both the Lake District and in England. You can also find a large selection of Adventure Activity companies, guides and instructors for all abilities based around the lake.
The World of Beatrix Potter
The World of Beatrix Potter is an enchanting visitor attraction in the English Lake District. The famous stories of Beatrix Potter are brought to life here. Learn about the famous Miss Potter, meet Peter Rabbit himself and step into Mr McGregor’s kitchen garden. Finish your day with delicious treats from the Tea Room, perfect for all the family.
Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway
Enjoy the special opportunity to travel by one of England’s historical steam trains and admire striking Lake District scenery as you go. Head into nature, and admire Cumbria’s scenery and wildlife. The steam train will take you past the soaring Scafells, you can also choose to disembark at various stops en-route. A fun way to venture into the nature on your doorstop.
