Local MP Kerry McCarthy called by at Churchill Living’s New Pooles Lodge in Fishponds on Thursday 19th August to join apartment Owners and local people for a Summer Garden Party to celebrate the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.
Ms McCarthy enjoyed a live music performance in the Lodge’s attractive communal grounds and spent time meeting the new apartment Owners and hearing about the new lifestyle they’re enjoying.
Kerry McCarthy MP said: “It was a pleasure to call in at New Pooles Lodge and enjoy the chance to meet people living and working there. We need more options for people who might wish to downsize and continue living independently as they get older and retirement properties like those at New Pooles Lodge are a big part of helping to meet that challenge.”
Churchill’s Regional Managing Director Robert Monkman said: “We were delighted Ms McCarthy was able to make time to join us for our Summer Garden Party at New Pooles Lodge and introduce herself to our Owners. Now that we can enjoy the freedom to socialise outdoors again, events like this are the perfect opportunity for local people to come and see first-hand the fun and sociable lifestyle that comes with a new Churchill apartment.
“Our developments have proven to be very safe places to live throughout the pandemic thanks to the excellent work of our Lodge Managers and the secure, self-contained nature of this type of accommodation. This has meant the rate of Covid-19 infections among Churchill Owners has remained less than a third of that seen across the wider UK population, and safety and wellbeing continues to be a priority.”
New Pooles Lodge is a stylish collection of one and two bedroom privately-owned retirement apartments for those who want to enjoy an active, independent lifestyle. Each apartment has been designed exclusively for those in their retirement years and has a number of safety and security features, such as a 24 hour emergency call line and a video entry system, for complete peace of mind.
