Churchill recently welcomed Alex Chalk MP for coffee, cake and a taste of retirement living with its community of apartment Owners at Lewis Carroll Lodge in Cheltenham.
The local MP spent an afternoon chatting to Owners and was given a tour of the development by the Churchill team. To commemorate the event, Alex Chalk presented a beautiful photograph of Cheltenham, ‘The Centre c1960’, which is now placed in the Owners’ Lounge at Lewis Carroll Lodge for all the Owners to enjoy.
Alex Chalk said: “I was pleased to be invited to Churchill’s new development - Lewis Carroll Lodge – here in Cheltenham. Specialist retirement housing like this is proven to have a beneficial effect on older people’s health and wellbeing, be it from being in a modern, warm, well insulated home to having a sense of community which helps to beat loneliness. It was great to meet some of the new community now calling Lewis Carroll Lodge home, and to hear how much they are enjoying their new homes.”
Bernadette Hennelly, Regional Marketing Manager at Churchill Living, said: “It was lovely welcoming the local MP, Alex Chalk, to Lewis Carroll Lodge, to meet local retirees who are enjoying a hassle-free lifestyle. The apartments here have already proved to be popular with retirees due to its ideal location, with 50% of them already sold.”
