A thriving new community takes shape at Westwood Cross’ new Invicta Lodge development

We've given a warm welcome to our first new Owners at Invicta Lodge in Westwood Cross, where a friendly community is starting to take shape. The first few over 60s to move in are now enjoying safety and security as well as freedom and independence in their new apartments, close to the town centre and all the delights of the Kent coast.

Brenda Laverick was one of the very first to move in and has this to say about life in her new apartment: “I love everything about being here. I never thought I would move from my old bungalow, but when I lost my husband that feeling changed as I didn’t like being there on my own and I really missed him. I only needed one look at this place and I made up my mind I was coming here. After watching it being built it’s wonderful to finally be in my new apartment with friendship and company available when I want it, and no more worries about security or maintenance.

Michael Pope was another of the first to move in, commenting: “Churchill’s Sales Executive Lorraine was brilliant throughout the process and let me take my time with no pressure. I used Churchill’s Home Exchange service to smooth things along, and I was one of the first to move in as soon as the new apartments were ready. It’s the best thing I ever did, my apartment is just right and it’s nice to have a bit of company around me as well as safety and security.”

 Hazel Clifton adds: “My son had the idea for both me and his dad – my ex-husband Bryan – to look at an apartment here, and we both decided to make the move. I’m very glad we did as it’s lovely here, and fortunately Bryan and I are still good friends! It’s a brilliant location, with an easy walk into town and a bus stop if we want to go into Ramsgate or Margate, or over to Canterbury. I love visiting Ramsgate for the nice shops and to see the harbour, but we have everything we need right here in Westwood Cross and it’s a lovely place to be.”

Invicta Lodge is a collection of 51 one and two bedroom apartments with integrated kitchens, beautiful landscaped gardens, and a Lodge Manager to provide a friendly face throughout the week. Owners also benefit from a 24-hour call centre support system, a Guest Suite for family and friends to visit and a large Owners’ Lounge with a coffee bar.
