Clementine Lodge announced as name for new Churchill Living development in Bicester

Clementine Lodge has been unveiled as the name of the brand-new Churchill Living development under construction in the heart of Bicester.

Named in honour of Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s wife, Clementine Churchill who had strong connections to nearby Blenheim Palace throughout her life.

The name was chosen by local Jennie Swansfield who commented: “I was delighted that my suggestion to name the Churchill Living development Clemetine Lodge was chosen as the winning entry. Being close to the Churchill’s home of Blenheim Palace, I thought it was an appropriate name”.

Once constructed, Clementine Lodge will comprise a collection of 41 one- and two-bedroom apartments, with first occupations expected in summer 2025. Each apartment will be fully self-contained with its own front door allowing for peace and privacy when desired. Owners will also benefit from use of the exclusive Owner’s Lounge complete with a coffee bar and views of landscaped gardens. The Lodge will have a full-time Lodge Manager on hand to assist any Owners, as well as 24-hour Careline support.

Located in the heart of Bicester, close to the high street, Clementine Lodge is perfectly placed for ease of living. The town is home to a good selection of shops and amenities, with everything from banks, pharmacies, a Post Office and restaurants nearby. At the famous Bicester Village, over 160 boutiques can be perused also. For those interested in history, the town boasts many buildings dating back to the 16th and 18th centuries which can be explored as part of the historic town trail self-guided walk.

Jo Ridehalgh, Senior Marketing Executive for Churchill Living’s South West Division comments: “I was thrilled to meet with Jennie and present her prize for suggesting the winning name for Clementine Lodge. The name harks back to the history of the area and is a fitting choice for our brand-new Lodge in Bicester. We are making great progress with the construction and can’t wait to welcome Owners later this year”.
