Coronavirus statement – updated 26th March

As the Coronavirus outbreak continues to develop in the UK, the health and wellbeing of our Owners, Customers and Colleagues is our top priority. We recognise the potential vulnerability of our Owners in respect of this virus and we want to do all we can to protect them and manage our developments responsibly.

A number of measures have been put in place across all Churchill Living developments in response to the current situation, including strict hygiene practices, requiring Owners to restrict all non-essential visitors in line with Government advice, recording and vetting all visitors on a daily basis, and suspending all social gatherings within our Lodges until further notice. All our Owners’ Lounges and Guest Suites have been closed in line with Government advice. Our Sales Offices are also closed to the public apart from in exceptional circumstances such as the handover of keys to a new apartment.

Information has been shared with our Owners to help ensure we provide the very best guidance and support that we can. All of our Owners live independently in their own apartments and so ultimately are free to make their own choices.

Our Lodge Managers are classified as key workers and will remain in post at our developments where it is safe for them to do so. While they can provide a daily point of contact for our Owners, we cannot provide any form of care service if Owners become ill or feel the need to self-isolate. We would therefore strongly encourage our Owners, along with their families and friends, and with the help of health and social care services if needed, to take responsibility for ensuring their day to day needs are catered for under the current circumstances.

Our construction sites are currently closed in order to safeguard the health of our Colleagues and sub-contractors.

With Government advice changing on a daily basis, we will of course continue to monitor the situation and update our policies and the information provided on our website.

We would like to thank all our Colleagues, Owners and their families for their understanding and co-operation at this challenging time.

Remember, if you feel unwell or have any concerns you should check the latest Government advice here, or call NHS 111.

Our Brand Ambassador Dame Esther Rantzen’s charity helpline for older people – The Silver Line – can also offer a chat, help or advice at any time on 0800 470 8090 (free from landlines).
