Churchill Living is inviting Larkfield locals to participate in a naming competition for its new Lodge in Larkfield, Kent. This is a unique opportunity for the local community to leave a lasting mark on the development by suggesting a name that reflects the village’s character, heritage and spirit.

Entrants are encouraged to submit their name suggestions along with a brief explanation of their choice. The winning entry will receive £100. Submissions should be sent to Anne.Scherrer@crl.co.uk by 27th March.

Anne Scherrer, Churchill Living’s Senior Divisional Marketing Manager for the South East division said: “We are thrilled to launch this naming competition for our new Lodge in Larkfield. We want the name to resonate with the local community and reflect the charm and history of this wonderful village. This is a fantastic way for residents to be involved in shaping the identity of our new development.

Situated in the Tonbridge and Malling district near Maidstone, Larkfield offers a vibrant and welcoming community, hosting numerous local events throughout the year, including fairs, seasonal markets, and social gatherings. The development is conveniently located less than half a mile from Martin Square, the main hub of the village, which provides an array of amenities such as a convenience store, NHS health centre, chemists, cafes, hairdressers, a library, and various eateries.

The apartments within the new Lodge will be completely self-contained, providing privacy and peace of mind, with a choice of one- and two-bedroom layouts. Each apartment will feature a stylish, fully tiled kitchen with colour-coordinated worktops and integrated appliances, ensuring both functionality and a modern aesthetic. Every apartment will be inspected by Churchill Living’s Customer Services department to maintain the highest standard of quality and finish.

Its prime location offers excellent transport links, with Maidstone just 4.6 miles away and West Malling only 1.8 miles from the village. A frequent bus service provides easy access to Maidstone Town Centre, known for its extensive shopping and dining options. Additionally, residents can enjoy a short journey to Bluewater Shopping Centre from nearby Ditton, where a range of retail, leisure, and dining experiences can be found.

Larkfield itself is rich in history, with origins linked to the stream that runs through the parish and once powered numerous corn mills. The village is home to several listed buildings, including a 12th-century church, a historic mill house, and two traditional oast houses.
