Sutton Grammar School student Bowen was awarded the regional winner’s prize in our national competition for schoolchildren to design an emblem to celebrate the Coronation. Bowen was one of five talented regional winners picked out from hundreds of entries received in the run up to the King’s Coronation.
Bowen visited Churchill’s Laurel Lodge development in Carshalton on Friday 12th May, where his winning Coronation Emblem design is now on display alongside the many other entries as part of a special showcase in the development’s cosy Owners’ Lounge.
He was also presented with his prize, which included a £50 cheque for him, £250 for his school, and a special Coronation goody bag and certificate to recognise his achievement.
Churchill’s Senior Marketing Manager Anne Scherrer said:
“We had a great time celebrating King Charles’ Coronation across all our developments, and our emblem design competition was a great way to get local schoolchildren involved in this historic occasion. We were delighted to welcome Bowen to Laurel Lodge so he could see his winning design on display, and to be able to congratulate him and present these well-earned prizes which we hope he and his school will enjoy!”
