To help celebrate Easter across the generations, children from Place Farm Primary Academy in Haverhill have been busy creating Easter decorations for their neighbours at Churchill Living’s Weavers Lodge.
To the delight of the local retirees, the children visited the Lodge on Friday to deliver the decorations, and were given a large hamper of Easter eggs in return to enjoy over the holidays.
Lodge Manager Laura Cradock said: “As Weavers Lodge is just a short distance away from the school we thought it was a perfect opportunity to invite the pupils to connect with the older generation and celebrate Easter in our community. The children said they enjoyed making the decorations and were proud to see them on display, and we were very happy to reward them all with some chocolate!”
Churchill’s Regional Marketing Executive Dawn Coster added: “We were delighted to be a part of this initiative, helping to connect the generations at this special time of year. Our Owners very much enjoyed the experience, and will look forward to maintaining our close connection with the school in future.”
