Local businessman helps Beryl celebrate her 90th birthday

Local businessman Mark Treadwell visited Churchill Living’s new Woolmans Lodge development in Shirley to present Owner Beryl Rickard with a special rose on her 90th birthday. The rose is named “Many Happy Returns” in honour of the occasion.

Beryl was one of the first new Owners to move into Woolmans Lodge, which is named after the old Woolmans Garden Centre that once occupied the site and was owned by Mr Treadwell. He was keen to attend the party arranged by Beryl’s family to celebrate with her new neighbours and friends in the Owners’ Lounge.

Mr Treadwell commented:

It was a pleasure to come back and visit the site where my Woolmans Garden Centre once stood, and see the thriving new community taking shape here. I was delighted to present Beryl with her special “Golden Beryl” rose and join in her birthday celebrations.

Rachel Walsh, Regional Sales and Marketing Director at Churchill Living, added: “Beryl is very popular at Woolmans Lodge and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate this special occasion with her. It was also great to welcome Mr Treadwell along to tell us about the history of the site and share some of his gardening knowledge. We have plenty of green-fingered Owners here who enjoy helping out with the communal gardens to keep them looking their best, but without the hassle of having to maintain them all year round.”

This event was a perfect example of the Churchill lifestyle in action.
