Beeches Lodge apartment Owners enjoy staying active by taking part in a weekly Tai-Chi group. The group is made up of Beeches Lodge Owners and friends from the local community who join together in the Owners’ Lounge every Thursday morning at 10am.
The group is run by Colin, a Tai-Chi instructor. As soon as the session starts there is an immediate sense of calmness in the lounge. From the gentle movements performed and the accompanying music, Owners are transported far away from everyday life. It certainly leaves the group feeling relaxed and more agile afterwards. The session is always followed by refreshments and a chat.
Tai chi is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for self-defence and health. Known for its slow, intentional movements, Tai Chi has practitioners worldwide and is particularly popular as a form of gentle exercise and moving meditation, with benefits to mental and physical health.
